  • Where did the name Cielo Scoops come from?
    • Cielo - Sky or Heaven. Because our premium non-dairy frozen desserts are plant based (vegan) and plants cannot grow without the sun, rain and fresh air! 
    • Scoops - Because we cannot legally call our premium non-dairy plant-based desserts Ice Cream, “Scoops' ' implies ice cream! There you have it, the more you know! Cielo Scoops!
  • Are your products vegan?
    • All of our non-dairy desserts are all vegan friendly! We work closely with our suppliers to confirm that all ingredients we use are vegan (not made with the aid of any animal products) and to ensure their manufacturing processes have not changed. If they do, we source from a different company.
    • Do you use vegan sugar?
      • Yes! We indeed use vegan sugar. All of the sugar used in our products were not processed using animal derived natural charcoal (also known as “bone char”.
  • Is Cielo Scoops Healthy?
    • Cielo Scoops produces dessert options with wholesome clean ingredients, that offer bold flavors and the right balance of sweetness, texture and taste! Cielo Scoops is not a ‘health’ food but a great alternative to dairy ice cream, frozen yogurt and gelato.
  • Why do we use plastic packaging occasionally?
    • Not all packaging is created the same and we know that our customers like to see what they are purchasing. Recycling programs in the U.S vary from state to state and even city’s within the same state. The plastic pints we use are 100% recyclable unlike many wax coated paper products and generally fall within the parameters of most recycling programs where products are sold. Our pints are reusable and make great snack and storage containers. We have a commitment goal to create “Zero Waste” in the production of our premium non-dairy ice cream and a work in progress. We are constantly evaluating packaging options!
  • Are your non-dairy frozen desserts made with GMO free ingredients?
    • Yep! To date all of our premium ice cream flavors are GMO free because many of our customers are avoiding genetically engineered foods. We work with our suppliers and purchase ingredients that have not been produced with modern genetic engineering.
  • Is your Ice Cream safe for someone with a nut allergy?
    • Cielo Scoops has nut free flavors and we have some flavors that are nut based. We have a strict manufacturing process and we also produce our flavors from least amount of allergens to most. We have a thorough sanitization process through each batch.
  • How should I serve Cielo Scoops Ice Cream?
    • To maximize your enjoyment of any frozen dessert we recommend that you let your cream sit out at room temperature for approximately 5-10 minutes before you scoop and serve it.
    • You want your ice cream to be firm but pliable. This will give you a softer consistency and also to bring out the full flavor profiles. Our taste buds are dulled by foods that are below certain temperatures. Eating ice cream that has had a chance to temper will allow your taste buds to fully enjoy and savor every delicious spoonful!
